Dana Cibulka LCPC CADC

SHE/HER

Dana Cibulka received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Bradley University in 2012. Dana went on to gain her Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling with a specialization in Rehabilitation Psychology from Adler University in 2015. Through her work at Riveredge Hospital, an inpatient psychiatric facility, she gained a focus on guiding those with dual diagnoses and received her CADC in 2019.

Dana believes that everyone has a journey in which they evolve with each experience. Her passion is being able to assist and encourage those that have struggled and may continue to struggle with trauma. Being able to be a guiding tool that individuals can use in gaining insight and confidence within their own abilities to heal and persevere through trying times is a gift. Her drive has been working with young adults, adults and seniors. She has seen within her work that resilience, compassion and respect are key elements to facilitating positive change. Within her work at Riveredge she was the driving force to create and implement a partial hospitalization program for those struggling with a mental illness and substance abuse. The program created an environment to help educate and support individuals in learning how to heal and engage again with those around them; without fear of judgement, control of anxiety, and ability to (re-)create healthy relationships with others. Dana continues to strive to assist those that seek therapy and are at a pivotal time in their lives with the use of CBT, DBT, ACT, Trauma focused therapy and Improv Therapy.
